I believe wholeheartedly in American exceptionalism! In the course of 60+ years of missionary work I have travelled to over 110 countries. Harriett and I served extensively in 30 or more. Travel is a broadening experience. You can learn a new language and understand some aspects of their culture, but the only way to really know a country is to purchase private property and actually live there. During those overseas years the Lord enabled us to purchased a home to live in while serving over five successive decades in four specific locations on three different continents, in two hemispheres, all with one objective – to proclaim the Gospel and win souls to Christ in restricted-access countries.

Having seen many other lands and cultures we know that America is unique among the nations. In his seminal historic record The Light and the Glory, Peter Marshal asked the question, "Did God Have a Plan for America?" His answer is a resounding "Yes!"

Yet, in our lifetime, America has lost more of its freedoms than most of the nations we worked in ever had to begin with! And the tragedy is, most of our fellow-Americans haven't even noticed the loss. Folks, it's high time to wake up!

Since the 1950s, Americans have been increasingly tied down by bureaucratic rules and regulations, that have the 'effect' of laws, thus gradually binding us with a multitude of Lilliputian cords, many in the form of environmental prohibitions. We cannot move freely. In the Garden, God put man in control of all animals, fish and birds. (Genesis 1:26-28) The humanists have turned things upside down with the Spotted Owl and Snail Darter taking precedent over human beings. It's utter madness!

Our Founding Father's knew that BIG government was the problem. So they severely limited the size and power of government, by giving control to "We the People."

Without question, Barack Hussein Obama is woefully unqualified to be President. It is very likely that he is ineligible as well, but that is another matter. I have the highest respect for the 'office' of the Presidency, but perhaps I may be forgiven for not addressing Obama as "Mr. President," but rather as "Mr. Present Resident."

Obama has more than doubled our national debt in less than 3 years. He has point-blank lied to the American people on multiple occasions, he has appointed over 20 Czars, some of whom are self-confessed communists and unrepentant terrorists, and anointed them with powers unrecognized, or approved, by Congress. He declared a "Gay Pride Month" to honour homosexuals, inviting them to 'party' at the White House, where some posed for a picture under a portrait of President Ronald Reagan - giving him the "finger." This is Sodom on steroids, folks. We must pray for America.

Governor Mike Huckabee has dubbed the Attorney General, "Eric with-Holder" for failing to provide the documents Congress has requested on the ATF gun-smuggling scandal "Fast and Furious." This botched bureaucratic overreach was a thinly disguised attempt to scuttle our 2nd Amendment. "Gun control" isn't about guns, it's about 'control.'

In recent weeks there have been repeated leaks to the press of highly sensitive classified information that has seriously compromised our nation's military strategy and decimated our intelligence sources. "Watergate" pales by comparison. The very nature of these detailed leaks, each of which made the President look strong and competent, suggests they came from very near the top in his administration. When asked about this at a press conference, the Present Resident responded: "The notion that someone in 'my White House' has leaked secret classified information is offensive!"

Mr. Present Resident - it is not your White House. Your arrogance is both offensive and unbecoming - and your lease is up in November!

After years of ministering in communist and other restricted-access countries, where there is no freedom and Christians are severely persecuted, I am possibly in a unique position to better appreciate the United States of America and the blessings of God which we enjoy here. I also understand the extent of what we have to lose. The world is looking, watching to see how we are going to deal with the problems we face in the 21st Century. Why? Because America is the last hope of multitudes, still longing to be free.

We must look beyond the fruited plain, beyond the majestic purple mountains and fix our eyes once again on Jesus Christ, the Author and Finisher of our Faith. On our 236th Birthday we must rededicate our lives to the One who is "the Way, the Truth and the Life." We must reclaim the Faith of our Fathers. We must ask the Lord to once again, "loose the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword," as we declare to the world, "His truth is marching on!"

America is the greatest mission-sending nation on earth. The world is waiting, perhaps unknowingly, for the life-giving Message we are commissioned to deliver. Failure to fulfil the Great Commission is not an option. Jesus Christ, our Commander-in-Chief, has given us His marching orders: "Go!"

We are grateful to God for your faithful prayers and practical support, enabling Frontline Fellowship to continue to "…preach the Word," and "…disciple nations."

 Yours in His grip,

Rev. Bill Bathman
Chairman of the Board

A Startling Admission

In the light of the extraordinary international economic and military campaign to bring down Rhodesia and replace it with Mugabe’s Zimbabwe it was most enlightening to read the speech by the American Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Christopher Dell (delivered 2/11/05 at Africa University in Mutare):

“…The growing collapse of the Zimbabwean economy. Not too long ago, Zimbabwe had a vibrant and diversified economy. It was a land of great hope and optimism in Africa… A symbol for the rest of the world of what Africa could become. Today, as you know, it is a country in deep crisis. I know of no other example in the world of an economy that, in times of peace, has contracted so precipitously…

Today is 11/11/11. 46 years ago, on Thursday, 11 November 1965, at the most solemn moment of Armistice Day, the 11th hour, Ian Douglas Smith, the Prime Minister of Rhodesia, signed Rhodesia’s Unilateral Declaration of Independence from Great Britain.

This act of defiance, which came after many months of negotiations and fruitless discussions with the British Foreign Office, resulted in a most extraordinary explosion of diplomatic activity, international outrage, economic sanctions and motions of condemnation from the British Commonwealth, the Organisation of African Unity, the United Nations, the Soviet Union, and even from the US State Department. Incredibly, Rhodesia was labeled: A threat to world peace! This from nations engaged in nuclear arms races and invasion of other lands!

The King James Version of the Bible/The Authorised Version stands like the Tower of London as a monument at the heart of the English speaking world. It is the best selling book of all time.

The KJV is the Bible that endured, having the greatest formative influence on the development of the English language worldwide. The KJV is actually one of the first British things to be made. It was made by the whole Island shortly after the inauguration of the United Kingdom of England and Scotland, when King James VI of Scotland became King James I of England. Read More

The Great Commission is my Supreme Ambition

From the very first day that I heard the Gospel of Christ, 4 April 1977, I have been called to missions. For over thirty four years The Great Commission has been my supreme ambition. Starting with distributing Gospels of John door-to-door in Pinelands, being a Group Leader in Scripture Union Holiday Missions, teaching Sunday School, running Youth Groups and coffee-bar outreaches, ministering in old-age homes, mass literature distribution at railway stations and bus stops, then working in Hospital Christian Fellowship, starting a Bible Study and Prayer Fellowship in the Army which met every night and led many soldiers to Christ, through to the launch of Frontline Fellowship, over 29 years ago, the last command of Christ has been my first concern. “I would never become a Christian! Look at all the hypocrites in the church! Look at all the scandals of tele-evangelists, the Health and Wealth preachers, the Name it! Claim it! Frame it! hyper-faith prosperity preachers, two-faced frauds and conmen! I don’t want to be part of hypocrisy!”

Hypocrisy Condemned

God is far more offended by hypocrisy than you are. The Bible contains the greatest condemnations of hypocrisy ever recorded. The Apostle Paul wrote about: “False apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ, and no wonder! For satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light, therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works.” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15

Japan Tsunami

The earthquake and tsunami in Japan has sparked numerous articles and programmes alternately blaming God for the disasters, or claiming that these disasters prove that God does not exist. Similarly with the AIDS plague. “A man’s own folly ruins his life, yet his heart rages against the Lord.” Psalm 19:3

What is happening in the Middle East?
The tidal waves of protests and riots convulsing capitals throughout the Arab world herald a seismic shift in world politics. More than a million demonstrators on the streets of a single capital, day after day, calling for the resignation of authoritarian leaders, some of whom have been in power for decades, is creating consternation, not only in the Middle East, but throughout the world. To those of us involved in ministering to Christians suffering persecution, the imprecatory Psalms are a tremendous source of comfort. And those of us who are fighting for the right to life of the preborn, or battling social evils such as pornography or crime, are beginning to appreciate what an important weapon God has entrusted to us in the imprecatory Psalms. Sunday 14 November is the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted. This study may help inspire and guide the prayers of your family and congregation.
Praying For Justice
Luther at Diet of Worms
The Reformation was one of the most momentous turning points in world history. It was led by men of strong faith, deep convictions, great intelligence, high moral standards and tremendous courage. Towering above all these great Reformers, Martin Luther stands out as the most courageous, controversial and influential Reformer of all time.
Did you know that the first English translations of the Bible were banned?

Did you know that the first printed copies of the New Testament in English had to be printed in Germany and smuggled into England in bales of cotton?

Did you know that the Bible translator responsible for this was burned at the stake for the crime of translating the Scriptures into English?

Halloween is a religious day, but it is not Christian. Tom Sanguinet, a former high priest in Wicca has said: "The modern holiday that we call Halloween has its origins in the full moon closest to November 1, the witches' new year. It is a time when the spirits (demons) are supposed to be at their peak power and revisiting planet earth..."

Anyone who wonders why missions are necessary, just need to consider the devastating impact on women when the church fails to fulfill the Great Commission.
William Carey's Vision Of A Congress For World Missions in Cape Town Fulfilled
The father of modern missions, William Carey, was a man ahead of his time. His book, An Inquiry into the Obligation of Christians to Use Means for the Conversion of the Heathen, is credited as being the book that launched the modern missionary movement.
Many coming to hear the Gospel of Christ Jesus
"The most unreached people of the world are most reachable when they're in cities."

"We have an unprecedented opportunity to disciple the diaspora. The nations are coming to us."

"We need to understand and build upon our past."

The theme of the second full day of the Cape Town 2010 Lausanne Congress on World Evangelisation focused on mobilising resources for world Evangelisation. The Christian Church is the largest, most diverse and most international movement ever seen in history.

Missions Congress Targeted by Massive Cyber Attack
The largest missions congress in history has been targeted by the most massive malicious cyber attack ever seen. With over 4,200 participants from 197 countries gathered at the Cape Town 2010 Congress on World Evangelisation, another 100,000 people were to receive live streaming of the conference through 700 global link sites in 95 countries.
China Prevents Participation in Missions Conference
The second largest delegation, more than 230 Christian leaders from China, have been prevented by their government from attending the Cape Town 2010 Congress on World Evangelisation.
Operation World Launched At Cape Town 2010

Operation World is the most important missions book available today. It is an absolutely indispensible part of any missionary's library. Yet when Patrick Johnstone first approached a major Christian publisher, his manuscript was rejected as "unmarketable!"

The Greatest Century of Reformation
31 October is Reformation Day. The message of The Greatest Century of Reformation is both important and urgent. We want God to bless our countries. But we cannot expect God to bless those who are in rebellion to His Laws. Our societies need Reformation and our churches need Revival.
31 October is Reformation Day
Friday, 31 October, is the birthday of all Evangelical and Bible-believing churches. On 31 October 1517, Dr Martin Luther launched the Protestant Reformation with his bold stand at the Castle Church in Wittenburg.
The Most Powerful Witness
The most powerful witness is the life of integrity of a Christian friend, family member or neighbour. Actions always speak much louder than words. There is no more effective sermon illustration than a life of Christian integrity. Say what you mean. Mean what you say. Be a person of your word.
READ THE KORAN: Don't Burn It!
Apparently, Rev. Terry Jones is bent on burning books this Saturday, 9/11, while his little flock looks on. This is not a good idea, nor is it even common sense. In areas where there is inflammable or explosive material, we see "No Smoking" signs. That warning is common sense. There is perhaps no area on earth today more inflammable or potentially explosive than the Muslim world. Why strike a match in a highly combustible environment? Everyone, from General Petraeus to the Pope, has registered a reasonable objection to this pyrotechnic nonsense.
Missions in the Mall
The children were delighted to be handed colourful balloons and many people were plainly grateful for the Gospel literature we were handing out. There was much interest in our Spiritual Well-Being Survey, which took shoppers through the Way of the Master and Evangelism Explosion questions to confront them with the Law of God and the reality of eternity.
Hollywood, Humanism and History
Films have become a major culture-shaping force in society. To many people, history - and reality itself - is defined by what they see at the movies. This has become extremely dangerous, as many of the filmmakers are secular humanists with an axe to grind against Christianity. As Karl Marx declared: "The first battlefield is the re-writing of history."
How the Vikings Were Won to Christ
The Scandinavians were the last great group of Teutonic people to abandon heathenism and embrace Christianity. The Viking marauders from the pagan North wrecked havoc throughout Northern and Western Europe. Throughout the 9th and 10th Centuries, Vikings raided, killed and plundered. They also established strong Viking settlements in Normandy, England, Scotland, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, and throughout the Baltic and in Russia.
Confronting Atheists
One of the great Church Fathers, Augustine of Hippo, in what is universally recognised as one of the greatest books in history, Confessions, wrote concerning God: "You have made us for Yourself and our hearts are restless until they find their rest in You."
Congo River Mission
By God's grace, despite many difficulties, dangers, and frustrations, our missionary to the Congo, Johan, has recovered from malaria and is continuing his five-month mission by dugout canoe down the Congo River.
Priority Frontline Projects
These projects represent part of our work in seeking to fulfill the Great Commission in Africa - ministering strategically to spirit, mind and body: transforming nations by changing lives.
Europe Mission 2010
Europe must be one of the most spiritually needy continents on earth. The secularization and paganisation of large sections of Europe is tragic. Yet there are surprisingly dynamic pockets of spiritual vitality and life amidst the general atheism and hedonism.
No Mosque at Ground Zero!
Symbolism is extremely important to Muslims. They traditionally build mosques as a memorial to their victories. Dates, events and places are commemorated to spin history to their own advantage. The propaganda value of an ecclesiastical edifice, at the very site of the most devastating terrorist attack America has ever endured, is inestimable. Why?
One of the requirements of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) signed in January 2005 between the National Islamic Front government of Sudan and the Sudanese Peoples Liberation Army (SPLA) was free and fair elections in 2010.
